Eligibility and Expectations
Expectations include:
- Participate in an orientation program
- Complete all lessons
- Hand in a final project
- Connect with your designated e-mentor
- Be an active participant
- Provide us with feedback
- Sprout your project!
What are the admission requirements?
- Passionate about creating positive change in your community
- Between the ages of 16 and 30 as of January 1, 2010
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Access to regular and reliable broadband internet
- Good online communication skills

So you want to be an E-mentor?
Are you ready?
Do you have an interest in changing the world?
Do you have appoximately 2 - 4 hours per week to dedicate?
Do you have an interest in sharing your knowledge, experience and advice?
Are you an experienced project manager involved in social and/or environmental causes?
Do you have regular and reliable access to broadband internet?
Are you familiar with online communication tools such as blogs, discussion boards, chats?
Have you ever facilitated a discussion or meeting online? with non-native English speakers?
Are you good at motivating and encouraging others?
Will the e-course remain a priority amongst your other commitments?
Are you comfortable with written and spoken English?
Eligibility and Expectations
Expectations include:
- Participate in an orientation program prior to the start of the e-course.
- Submit all monitoring and feedback materials.
- Provide constructive feedback and assistance to participants.
- Direct participants to tools, resources, and networks relevant to their projects.
- Create a fun and supportive learning environment!
What are the admissions requirements?
- Dedication to helping young leaders implement their project ideas
- Undergraduate (and ideally Masters) degree in a related social and/or environmental field;
- Experience managing a variety of social and/or environmental projects;
- Excellent online communication skills;
- Previous mentorship experience is an asset;
- Access to regular and reliable broadband internet
